Career girl essentials and motivation #1
I've been exploring the world of blogging and entrepreneurs for quiet some time or ever since I realized that the 9 to 5 jobs are not something I want to be doing forever. I've come across a couple great resources that have fueled me to keep going and stay on the right path. these resources taught me how to get through the dark days of quarter life crisis and career path confusion. those resources taught me to not give up on blogging when it got boring or frustrated with the lack of post ideas. most importantly, these resources made me not feel alone in my journey. This post is inspired by a recent encounter I had with someone who turned out to be as passionate about entrepreneurial pursuit as I am. it's quiet funny that ones you set your mind to something the universe put people and signs along the way. Paulo Coelho said it best in his amazing book, The Alchemist (on the list) “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
Okay, let the listing begin:
1. since I've mentioned a quote from it, I will start with a book followed by a great number of books which are the following
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - (I wrote the review post when I read it long time ago here)
Something Blue by Emily Giffin - Character Development through love and friendship betrayal. An unlikely choice, but gives insight. i have other fiction favorites, but i will keep them for another post.
The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter- And How to Make the Most of Them Now by Meg Jay - quarter life crisis
Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert - Creative genie
You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero - I am a badass.
2. Great websites I've learn a great deal from starting with :
Career Girl daily Magazine website
3. the third resource is the one place where you find almost all the bloggers a website known as Bloglovin'
4. She Means Business by Carrie Green - this one is a book too, but it's linked to more than that. I'm currently reading the book and listening to a podcast of the same name.
These are my source of inspiration so far or what i can share for now and the list will keep growing.
Peace, Love and laughter,
