Loneliness & happiness #Thoughts
When we think of being lonely, we think of sadness and miserable lives. But there is actually a difference between being alone and being lonely. I believe that our sadness doesn't come from loneliness because to me sadness is a side effect of a bigger image. We go through a lot that we get to the point where we don't want to share ourselves and feelings with others, that we believe we're not worthy to be known by others that we are nothing special. If you're not happy with who you are don't wait for others to give you that happiness because we've all heard it at some point, " happiness comes from within us" we need to make ourselves happy in order to allow others into our world. In the end, there is nothing like the feeling of inner peace and being happy with who you are inside. Objects can only bring you temporary happiness but true joy, joy is an inner feeling that comes with satisfaction and gratitude. Yes, gratitude is the key. So give yourself the time and space to feel that inner peace. when you feel that joy within you, you start sharing it and then look for others to make it feel even better, not give it to you but share it with you.
There is a quote that I always go back to at times like this, it says,
“Simplicity, patience, compassion
These three are your greatest treasures.
Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being.
Patient with both friends and enemies,
you accord with the way things are.
Compassionate toward yourself,
you reconcile all beings in the world.”
― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
